Library Resources From Off Campus

This guide will help you figure out how to get books, articles and videos from off-campus.

Physical Books - Link+

What is Link+

Link+ is a group of 50+ California (mostly) academic and public libraries that have agreed to share collections with each other. The Link+ search box will search all 50+ library collections for books that you can then request right online. The system will automatically select the library closest to PUC that has the book available and start the delivery process. It takes about 3 days to arrive at the PUC library. An email or text is then sent to you to come pick up the book at the PUC Library.

NOTE: Not all Link+ libraries have resumed full service yet due to the pandemic shut downs

How to get books delivered to a location near you...

  1. Go to the Link+ search tab on the library home page, or just go straight to Link+ Site
  2. When you find a title that you want, scroll down to see if any libraries have it available.
  3. Look for the "Request It" button
  4. Select Pacific Union College as your affiliated institution
  5. Enter your PUC login info (same as Canvas) OR your name & ID# but NOT BOTH
  6. Select the library nearest you where you would like to have it delivered to - the Pickup Institution
  7. Click Submit
  8. WAIT 3-4 days for it to arrive - you will get an email from Link+ when it is ready to pick up

Physical Books - Interlibrary Loan

What is InterLibrary Loan?

Any article or book that the PUC library does not own or have a subscription to, we can usually borrow or get a copy from another library on your behalf. Libraries will not loan materials to non-members but they will loan to another library which is then an InterLibrary Loan (ILL). Just click on one of the links below to get started filling out the request form.
